Final Walk-Through

What to check the day before closing to avoid post-closing disputes.

Checklist

  • All agreed-upon repairs completed (with receipts).
  • All appliances and systems functional.
  • Property is in same condition as contract.
  • All items included in sale are present.
  • All seller items are removed.
  • Yard, garage, and basement are clean.

If Something's Wrong

Don't close. Document with photos and video. Call your broker and the listing agent immediately. Common remedies: holdback at closing, post-closing escrow, or delayed close.
